They hook it up when I go out with mom here.   She is a senior and they let us share a senior meal so it's pretty perfect for two light eaters.

I always base my review on the type of restaurant.  If the place is supposed to be fine dining or a dive, I rate them accordingy.  This is what my assumption was of Country Junction.  It wa going to be a coffee shop type atmosphere catering to older clientele with the typical American food choices.

That's exactly what it was.  I knew it when I found 2 pieces of evidence.  1) They had liver and onions on the menu.  Not that I would ever order that since I was forced to choke down one bite of it when I was a child every time my grandma made it for dinner. 2) Their senior dinner specials were vintage awesomeness because they included both soup AND salad, rolls and butter, choice of potato, hot vegetable, tea or coffee, and, of course, the choice of ice cream, rice pudding, jello, or pudding for dessert.  Most of these meals were under $7!  Almost made me wish I was a senior citizen.

I felt like having breakfast, so I ordered a Denver omelet.  Everything was totally fine.  I would eat there again or I may wait until I turn 62.

Another 1st. We were in Freeport and found this place. We had lunch and ordered off the senior menu. We ordered the shrimp which was a count of 12. Came with potato, soup, salad dinner rolls and dessert. The food was very good. The waitress was very nice and the restaurant itself was very clean. Ample parking also. Oh I forgot to mention that our senior meal was 6.95. I would definitely go back again.

We came in 25 mins before closing, we started off with a round of water and ice and definitely taste like faucet water. The cups are cracked and faded off, the silverware was dirty. We ordered buffalo wings ("My favorite appetizer in general") are they were awful the worst wings I ever tried, they tasted like they stale or they had been using the same oil for some time now, I personally had NY steak and Shrimp, the steak was seasoned good however it was really tough to chew and a awful cut for a New York steak. Service was ok but not the best.

Been here before during lunch. Apparently the solo cook was overwhelmed by a single table of 12 who arrived before us. My husbands turkey club had little turkey and the toast was very dark. The fries were fine.
The menu is extensive and they offer dessert with a full meal. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly and attentive.
